Jac Asher received her Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Riverside. Jac's teaching and research interests include gender and sexuality studies, African American literature, visual culture, and 19th- and 20th-century American literature. She is currently working on book manuscript, tentatively entitled, Kept Boys: Scenes of Masculine Dependency in American Literature and Culture.
